Risbara Bros. is a family-owned and operated business, building structures of distinction and serving the community throughout Southern Maine. With over fifty years of experience, we have developed a strong reputation for reliability, honesty, transparency and integrity. With a third generation now hard at work, Risbara Bros. holds fast to its tradition of excellence while bringing a fresh and industry-leading approach to building that continues to win us repeat clients and referrals. Founded in 1968 by Marcia and Rocco C. Risbara, Jr. as R. Risbara Construction Co., Rocco was joined in the 1980s by his three sons, Rocco III, William, and Marc who have owned and operated the business since 1990. Risbara Bros. employs over 40 construction professionals with deep experience in their fields. We’re proud of the loyalty we've garnered among our employees and consider them part of the family. Dedicated to working with the best, we have built strong, long-lasting relationships with local subcontractors and suppliers and work with some of the most talented skilled tradesman in Maine.
Marcia and Rocco Risbara Jr. Memorial Scholarship
Our commitment to the community is not only reflected in the way we conduct business but in our support of a wide range of community causes. Among the many non-profit organizations we support, we strongly advocate the importance of trades in Maine through the Maine Blue Collar Scholarship and the Marcia and Rocco Risbara Jr. Memorial Scholarship. As a tribute to honor our parent's lifelong commitment to helping others, The Marcia and Rocco Risbara Jr. Memorial Scholarship was funded through the sale of our parent's prized '62 Corvette and '55 Thunderbird. The scholarship was created for those interested in the trades by helping with tuition and by the purchase of tools and uniforms.
In the last 50 years, Risbara Bros. has had the privilege to bring its reputation for excellence and instrumental expertise to many of Southern Maine's largest projects.
Together with the Michaud family, the three Risbara brothers are also founders and co‑owners of multiple Scarborough‑based companies including Maine Properties, M&R Holdings, Crossroads Holdings, LLC. (The Downs), and Southern Maine Remodeling.
Rocco Risbara
ROCCO (ROCCY) RISBARA III is President and co-owner of Risbara Bros. Construction. Roccy started working part-time for the family business in high school. In 1982, he began working full-time and rose to his current role in 1990. Involved in all aspects of the business, Roccy concentrates a large portion of his time to land purchases, working with engineers and surveyors to develop the land and move projects through the approval process. With great pride in his family business’s 51 years of successful contributions to the Southern Maine community, Roccy uses his four decades of experience in residential and commercial construction to continue this legacy.
William Risbara
WILLIAM (BILL) RISBARA is Partner and Treasurer for Risbara Bros. Construction. Bill grew up learning the family business, and now has over 35 years of construction and development experience and expertise ranging from single family homes to large scale apartments and commercial projects. His vast knowledge and work experience encompass all areas of construction and post-construction maintenance in all phases of single-family housing developments, condominium developments, multiplex rental properties and commercial properties, including shopping centers. His years spent as a Project Manager on job sites affords him an in-depth knowledge of structures and all underground utilities and infrastructures. He is instrumental in the day-to-day running of the business operation.
Marc Risbara
MARC RISBARA is Vice President of Risbara Bros. Construction. Marc started running heavy equipment and showing a strong interest in site work at a very early age. For the last 30 years he has headed up the earthwork and site development aspect of the business. His in-depth knowledge of underground utilities and infrastructure is integral to land acquisitions and site prep.
